Turmeric Oat

This breakfast is a really good start of your day! Add the turmeric not only because it is healthy but also because it is sooo tasteful.

One bowl

  • 250 ml oatmilk
  • 1/2 ts sugar
  • 1/2 ts turmeric powder
  • 1 ts orange zest
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Fruit

Oatmeal
Heat up the oatmilk. Make sure the liquid does not boil. Add the sugar, turmeric, zest, a pinch of salt and pepper. If you are a sweet tooth add some more sugar. Stirr a few times. Then add the oatmeal little by little until you think it is thick enough. Lower the heat and keep stirring for around two minutes. Watch out: the oatmeal will get a little thicker when it cools down.
Add fruit on top. Banana is particularly good with this recipe, but you can add any fruit you like.

For this dish it is really important that your turmeric powder is fresh otherwise the oatmilk will taste more like a curry. That is not what you want in the morning.

Taste the turmeric on your finger. Is it really musty(muf) than it’s old.
